My Story

I started baking when I was a little girl with my Grandma Vicky and Grandma Ruby. From the first time I got to measure, sift, run the mixer, lick the bowl, crack an egg and taste a warm fresh cookie, I was hooked! I was always so excited to go to their houses to bake with them. Some of the first recipes I remember baking with them are Monster Cookies and Krumkake. I have so many good laughs and great memories with them in the kitchen over the years.

I started thinking but opening my own business a while back and now I am here today actually doing it. The first reason I started my business is that I love backing things so much and sharing my joy with other people. Another reason is that it can help pay for my college in the future.

I got my name by bringing cookies over to my neighbor. After a couple of trips over, she started calling me the "Baker Next Door" and the name stuck with me. So I decided to start serving more than my friends and family. So when I opened I thought I would keep the catchy name. So for that, I want to give a special thanks to Sheri, my neighbor for giving me that name and encouraging me to pursue my baking career. I also want to thank her for being my first customer.
